A good way to start the new year. Jan 1st it was seven degrees and today it’s eighteen degrees and snowing.

January 2016
The snow that began in December continues. I’m loving it, especially after last years barely- see- it snow. No snow pack is bad news on this eastern side of the Cascades. When the rivers get low the water temperature rises. Water too warm and the fish die. Development, too many homes with wells lowers the water table which deplete water from rivers and again fish die.
